Blue State governors have gone wild, and they have driven their states to the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Look at the damage governors of blue states have caused, with unemployment in many of them in the mid-to-high-teens: Massachusetts (17.4%) New Jersey (16.6%) New York (15.7%) Nevada (15%) California (14.9%) Michigan (14.8%) Illinois (14.6%) Hawaii (13.9%) Pennsylvania (13%) Delaware (12.5%) Draconian shutdown measures and a refusal to do anything about the riots and looting that are tearing their constituents' cities apart have driven many … [Read more...]
Looking for a Better America
After decades of urbanization, Americans are rebelling against the “bigger is better” mentality of city-living. Seeking a smaller, more affordable, sustainable, and secure lifestyle, some are venturing out from the mega-cities in search of a different life.
A number of techniques have become popular in an effort to save, especially scaling down the size of one’s home. Living small and saving big is even better when it’s coupled with living in a state that treats you more like a human than an ATM it can withdraw money from.
Look for a better America today. Start by reading what I have written to help you below:
Dog Days of Summer/Trump Parade/No Go Zones/Bannon Hit Job
Welcome to the dog days of summer, literally. Has there ever been a more rewarding time to have a dog? I can tell you how much we’re enjoying our walks with ours and just the happiness he brings to the family. They do become part of the family. A client told me they had to put their Shih Tzu down three weeks ago after 15+ years, outlasting her kennel mate by two. They now have an Aussie Doodle (a cross between a poodle and an Australian Shepherd). He told me he’s been on early morning watch and that he’d already been up for an hour! (It was early). Told me they had him delivered by air, … [Read more...]
Liberals Believe in an Unprecedented Disruption of the Suburbs
You’re seeing firsthand the damage from an overreaction to a virus with cities burning from rioters with nothing better to do. Inch by inch, they’re coming for your freedom, whether it’s through the Marxist BLM or destruction of your neighborhood. As President Trump and Secretary of HUD Ben Carson write in today’s WSJ: Liberals even believe this unprecedented federal disruption of the suburbs is required to battle climate change. They say the suburbs are a problem because of unacceptably high levels of greenhouse gases generated by a family with its own house, a yard, two cars and a … [Read more...]
The Wealthy Escaped the City: Politicians Beg them to Come Back and Pay Taxes
You might not believe how lopsided New York City's tax system is, but here you can read it in the words of the governor of New York State, "A single per cent of New York’s population pays half of the state’s taxes and they’re the most mobile people on the globe." Gov. Andrew Cuomo is begging wealthy New York City residents to return to their city homes so they can be taxed by the city's income tax surcharge. To fight the pending deficit the city is facing, many city politicians want to tax those who remain even more, but Cuomo knows this is a bad idea. The Daily Mail reports: It is … [Read more...]

Your children were sent home, away from their friends and teachers. You may have lost your job. You aren't alone. Millions of Americans are suffering the same plight, along with possibly billions around the world. Americans Spark Lumber Shortage in Escape from the City
You have read about the lumber shortages facing America as economic activity heats up. Americans escaping the city have initiated a housing boom that is creating lumber shortages. The Wall Street Journal reports on one woodworker here in Newport, RI that ordered four times the lumber he normally would, and still didn't have enough. The Journal explains: When woodworker Michael Hendershot stocked up with lumber in March ahead of building season, he feared the coronavirus pandemic would disrupt the supply of wood more than demand for fences, decks and cabinets. He multiplied his usual order by … [Read more...]
Trump Needs to Turn the Tables on Pelosi, Inc.
You have been watching as the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her team of radical Democrats, has stymied every attempt to help America recover from the COVID-19 recession. President Trump has attempted to negotiate in good faith, but Pelosi is out for blood and is willing to take down the entire economy to take out Trump, no matter how many lives she ruins, businesses she bankrupts, or future generations she puts at risk. One of President Trump's ideas to help Americans during the hard COVID times is to stop collecting the payroll tax. Stephen Moore and Phil … [Read more...]
Cities of Despair: Federal Agents Heading in as You Escape
You and your family are rushing to escape the city. At the same time, the President is sending in federal agents to help local police forces quell riots and fight crime. Tresa Baldas reports for the Detroit Free Press: Federal law enforcement agencies have a message for Detroit: We are coming to help your city fight violence, not harass or intimidate your protesters. "Let me be perfectly clear ... there are no federal troops coming to Detroit, or anywhere in Michigan to interfere with protesters," U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider said Wednesday. The U.S. Attorney's Office and other … [Read more...]
Seattle Residents Speak Out Against “Defund the Police” Movement
Seattle's anti-police protesters recently marched on the home of a city councilwoman shouting "Defund the Police." The protesters have been visiting many of the city's councilmembers, leaving vulgar graffiti and notes on their streets and houses. Some have even threatened physical violence. Matt Markovich reports for KOMO News: About 50 protesters on Tuesday marched to the home of Seattle Councilmember Debra Juarez despite three recent public pleas from Council President Lorena Gonzales to end such protests. Gonzales reported that demonstrators marched to her West Seattle home Monday night … [Read more...]
Escaping the City Becoming a Bit More Expensive
You may want to escape the city, you're not alone. Many Americans are watching the riots and COVID-19 transmission rates in cities and making the decision to leave that life behind them. The "urban exodus" has begun driving up real estate prices in the suburbs and rural areas surrounding America's metropolises. Tom Olson outlines the effects in a piece at Think Realty, writing: If you are looking for a new place to live these days, the odds are good you have at least considered taking the “country mouse” route and buying a home in a rural area. The odds are also pretty good that a year … [Read more...]
