Imagine coming home to your apartment to learn that a violent mob that your city leaders refuse to quell has burned your home. That's what happened to Seattle radio host Paul Gallant. Gallant is no right-winger, but even he could see the rationale in owning a firearm after more buildings in his neighborhood came in for the same treatment as his. Paul Sacca reports at The Blaze: Sadly, the rioters attacked a Starbucks that had residential apartments above, and the fire forced the residents to evacuate the smoldering building. Unfortunately for Gallant, he lived above the Starbucks that … [Read more...]
The Harassment of the McCloskeys Sets a Dangerous Precedent
After Mark and Patricia McCloskey chose to defend their St. Louis home from violent rioters with firearms, they--not the rioters--were targeted by the city's prosecutor, Kim Gardner. Gardner accused the McCloskeys of making the trespassers who tore down the McCloskey's gate "fear for their safety." Wasn't that the point? New developments including the intervention of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt into the case, and a promise from Missouri Governor Mike Parson to pardon the couple if convicted, make it unlikely the McCloskeys will see any jail time. But, even the thought that the … [Read more...]
Americans Respond to the “Defund the Police” Movement by Arming Themselves
You may have heard the saying "when seconds count, police are minutes away." That's true in normal times, now imagine how long response times will be when police are defunded across America. God Bless America and the Second Amendment
At America's First Freedom, Charlie Daniels paints a stark picture of what America would look like without the Second Amendment. He writes: It is easy to discredit the fallacy that severe restrictions on the sale and ownership of firearms is a means of curbing violence in America. We need look no further than across our southern border. Did you know there is only one gun store in Mexico, guarded by armed military personnel? It takes months of paperwork to even have the chance to buy a gun. If you are not law enforcement or military, you are lucky to procure a .22. Most Mexicans have about … [Read more...]
