OK, Your Survival Guy has his noise-canceling earphones at the ready in anticipation of the soul-sucking sound of leaf blowers howling through the neighborhoods after a five-day deluge of wind and rain. It’s almost worse than the storm.
Speaking of which, one barometer Your Survival Guy uses to measure a storm’s impact on families is the line of cars idling outside the preschool on Monday morning as tired parents wait to drop off the little terrors and peel out of the drop-off line.
The line was noticeable.
On our morning walk, there were tons of boats in the water, and based on my observations, most were safely secured to their moorings or slips.
Some towns received up to eight inches of rain. Imagine if it had snowed. Just another reminder that winter is coming.
