When I asked you to come see me in Newport, RI, while you’re in New England, that’s exactly what you have been doing. Thank you for taking the time to come visit me. And if you’re planning a trip, be sure to carve out time to see me.

The Newport International Boat Show just wrapped up, and as always, it was impressive, drawing people from all over the country and the world to Newport, RI. Your Survival Guy was lucky enough to have some of his old friends stop by and to see many new faces as well.

Here’s how Discover Newport explains the Newport International Boat Show:

The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the country, spans over fifteen acres with 7 connecting show sites within historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Walk the docks and view a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States. On the land side, you’ll find hundreds of marine products, services and accessories to enhance the boating lifestyle. Also on deck are educational seminars, in-water boating courses and daily giveaways.

The Boat Show’s September dates from 11-14th and stunning location are added benefits to your visit. Set amongst grand coastal scenery, national historic sites, trendy boutiques and world-class restaurants, it’s easy to pair your passion for boating with the experience of Newport and the beauty of fall in New England.
