Open Carry: “The Law of the State” in Florida

By Reed @ Adobe Stock

You read last week that a judge in Florida’s 1st District had declared the state’s prohibitions on open carry unconstitutional in a case named McDaniels v. State. Now, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has declared open carry “the law of the state.” Uthmeier sent guidance to all prosecutors and law enforcement in the state on enforcing open carry as the law. Read his guidance below:

Action Line: Whether or not you have constitutional carry or permitted carry in your state, it’s time to get your gun and your training now. Don’t end up defenseless on a bus or in the park at night. Don’t be forced to watch helplessly as you or your family is victimized. When seconds count, police are minutes away. Be your own first responder.
