What state comes to mind when you think of gun ownership? Surely Texas, with its cowboy history and Alamo spirit would be many people's first choice. Or perhaps Wisconsin, famed for its hunting heritage. You may even suggest Live Free or Die, New Hampshire, the best state for gun laws. Or the frontier of Alaska, where a gun can often mean the difference between life and being a bear's lunch. But America's number one state for gun ownership, according to a new study is The Treasure State, Montana. David Beasley reports in Just the News: Montana leads the nation in gun ownership, a new study by … [Read more...]
More Guns Means Less Crime in Brazil Too
One of the most important books written about the Second Amendment and gun policy in America is John Lott’s “More Guns, Less Crime,” from 1998. In it, Lott makes the argument for law-abiding American gun ownership. The evidence he found in the United States showed that more guns equaled less crime, and it turns out that may be true in Brazil as well. In a recent op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, John Lott comes back to explain how his theories have performed in Brazil, with homicide falling 34%. He writes: “Lives are on the line,” President Biden said after the Supreme Court held New York … [Read more...]
Democrats Admit Anti-Gun Bill Is Just the Beginning
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), admitted in an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that after passing his gun control bill, “there’s a lot of future legislation that becomes possible after we get this to the president’s desk.” Watch Murphy here: Action Line: Everyone knew this bill was just the camel’s nose under the tent. Soon, emboldened Democrats will attempt to squeeze every anti-gun piece of legislation through the door. Get your gun and your training now. They may not be available later. Stick with me to weather this storm. … [Read more...]
BREAKING: Supreme Court DISMANTLES New York’s Unconstitutional Gun Laws
For over 100 years New Yorkers have had to prove that they had a "need" to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Other states have similar rules that prevent some residents who simply want to carry a firearm for self-defense from obtaining a license. Now, in a decision written by Justice Clarence Thomas, the court has dismantled New York's unconstitutional requirements and set the system right. The NY Post's Mark Moore and Zach Williams report: The Supreme Court struck down New York’s century-old law restricting the carrying of concealed firearms Thursday, its first major Second Amendment … [Read more...]

The Supreme Court Could Destroy Democrats’ Favorite Anti-Gun Tool
If you live in a blue state and want to carry a concealed firearm, you’ve probably been met with a request for a “proper cause.” In other words, the state will only allow you to legally carry a firearm if it believes you have a valid reason for doing so. Demand “proper cause” is Democrats’ favorite tool for denying anyone attempting to exercise their rights the ability to carry a firearm. New York’s “proper cause” licensing is at the heart of a pending Supreme Court case. If the court rules against New York, it will upend the laws in a slew of blue states, where firearm owners have had … [Read more...]
Democrats Are Not Prepared for Second Amendment Backlash in November
You have seen Democrats eagerly exploiting the tragedies in Uvalde, TX, and Buffalo, NY to push for their favorite anti-gun legislation. It seems they think those efforts will bring them victory in November, but Seamus Brennan, writing for the Association of Mature American Citizens, thinks the strategy is more likely to backfire. He writes: Meanwhile, Congressional Democrats (along with some Republicans) are pushing a set of policies that could infringe on Americans’ Second Amendment rights while doing nothing of major consequence to prevent mass shootings going forward. So-called red flag … [Read more...]
Taking Guns from Law-Abiding Americans Won’t Solve Anything
No one in their right mind supports gun violence. But taking guns away from law-abiding citizens is not going to solve the problem. It will do nothing to secure the safety of schools, or anywhere else. And calling an AR-15 an assault rifle is like calling a fork a spoon. It’s ignorant. It’s misinformed. It’s not an automatic rifle. I could run through the statistics of how few people are killed by AR-15s compared to other firearms, or cars, or fast food, but that wouldn't stop the left from demonizing them. They don't want to take your AR-15 away because it was used to murder someone. … [Read more...]
Senators Warned that NRA Still Opposes Unconstitutional Gun Control Measures
Members of the Senate have signaled a bipartisan compromise on gun control measures. The NRA is reminding both Democrats and Republicans that it will oppose any unconstitutional gun control measures. Breitbart's A.W.R. Hawkins reports: The NRA responded to the Senate gun control agreement by making clear the organization will continue to oppose any effort to override law-abiding citizens’ “fundamental right” of self-defense. In a series of three tweets, the NRA explained that their position is that the Senate agreement, at this point, is just a framework, and “the NRA does not take … [Read more...]
Fewest Americans Ever Support Assault Weapons Ban
Anti-gun activists are desperately trying to implement new gun controls across America, including bans on so-called "assault weapons." They have been pushing these bans for decades, and in 2013, Quinnipiac began polling support for such measures. Today, support for assault weapons bans is the lowest it's ever been. Fox News reports: New polling shows that support for an "assault weapons" ban in the United States has hit an all-time low despite calls from Democrats to implement a ban following a deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. In a Quinnipiac University poll, … [Read more...]
