DIRTY DOZEN: 12 Democrat-Led Cities Break Homicide Records

The year isn’t even over and already twelve large Democrat-run cities have broken records for the most homicides in a year. Joe Biden believes it’s because of the virus. Wrong. It’s weak policy from the top. Here are the Dirty Dozen cities that have suffered from rampant murder unleashed by politicians turning a blind-eye to crime in their cities.

City Mayor Party Murders
Albuquerque Tim Keller Democrat 82
Austin Steve Adler Democrat 60
Baton Rouge Sharon Weston Broome Democrat 137
Columbus Andrew Ginther Democrat 179
Indianapolis Joe Hogsett Democrat 246
Louisville Greg Fischer Democrat 175
Philadelphia Jim Kenney Democrat 523
Portland Ted Wheeler Democrat 72
Rochester Lovely Warren Democrat 71
St. Paul Melvin Carter Democrat 35
Toledo Wade Kapszukiewicz Democrat 62
Tuscon Regina Romero Democrat 80

Murders have also soared in bigger cities like New York, San Francisco, LA, and Chicago, though they haven’t quite reached records yet. ABC reports:

At least 12 major U.S. cities have broken annual homicide records in 2021 — and there’s still three weeks to go in the year.

Of the dozen cities that have already surpassed the grim milestones for killings, five topped records that were set or tied just last year.

“It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories. It’s just crazy. It’s just crazy and this needs to stop,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said after his city surpassed its annual homicide record of 500, which stood since 1990.

Philadelphia, a city of roughly 1.5 million people, has had more homicides this year (521 as of Dec. 6) than the nation’s two largest cities, New York (443 as of Dec. 5) and Los Angeles (352 as of Nov. 27). That’s an increase of 13% from 2020, a year that nearly broke the 1990 record.

Chicago, the nation’s third-largest city, leads the nation with 739 homicides as of the end of November, up 3% from 2020, according to Chicago Police Department crime data. Chicago’s deadliest year remains 1970 when there were 974 homicides.

Philadelphia’s homicide record was broken in the same week that Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville eclipsed records for slayings.

In Illinois, rather than focusing on fighting the exploding crime in cities like Chicago, State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, who lives in the Northbrook suburb of the Windy City, is instead proposing to strip unvaccinated residents of their right to health insurance. Kit Knightly writes in OffGuardian:

Illinois Representative Jonathan Carroll wants to push through a change to the state’s insurance law that would mean health insurers no longer have to cover unvaccinated people who get Covid, forcing people to pay their medical bills out of pocket.

The Democrat lawmaker told the Chicago Sun-Times:

I think it’s time that we say ‘You choose not to get vaccinated, then you’re also going to assume the risk that if you do catch COVID, and you get sick, the responsibility is on you,’”

The potential corruption and abuse of such a rule should be obvious to anyone familiar with just how mendacious insurance companies can be.

In all likelihood insurance companies will simply demand a negative Covid test before paying anything, and if you test positive, no matter what you were treated for, you will be called a “covid case” and forced to pay out of pocket.

The bill could, essentially, wipe all health insurance off the books for unvaccinated people.

How are Americas supposed to respond to politicians who don’t care about their safety? When mayors are more interested in pushing the Great Reset agenda, than in putting criminals behind bars, life in the city becomes tenuous.
