You know, Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York recently had an epiphany that states are competing for businesses and residents. Of course, that epiphany came after years of driving out the wealthiest New Yorkers with bad policies. And she doesn’t appear to be changing her ways, despite the new perspective.
Along with Hochul, New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has no time for the desires of businesses or residents who don’t want to pay exorbitant taxes in order to fund his radical political agenda.
With politicians like those, is it any wonder Apollo Global Management is looking to relocate out of New York to a state that’s friendlier to business? Fox News’s Kristen Altus reports:
In another massive blow to high-tax blue states, Apollo Global Management Inc. has announced plans to establish a second U.S. headquarters, scouting locations in Texas and South Florida.
The financial investment heavyweight allegedly shared with its teams on Sunday that it plans to open the second office while keeping its flagship New York City HQ, people familiar with the matter first told the Financial Times. The report also named Nashville as a possible option.
