Last night was the 79th annual Al Smith dinner. Officially known as the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, the dinner is a charity event to raise money for vulnerable women and children. During election years, it is a tradition that presidential candidates join and give speeches, which are usually comedic.
This year, President Donald Trump attended, giving a speech in which he roasted everyone from Sen. Chuck Schumer to NYC Mayor Eric Adams and, of course, Kamala Harris. Watch his speech below:
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris avoided the event, choosing instead to send in a pre-taped segment including former SNL cast member, Molly Shannon. Even MC of the night, Jim Gaffigan had to make fun of the cringeworthy bit.
