What we learned from the Iowa Republican caucuses yesterday is that voters are tired of the establishment GOP. They look at their current situation and can’t believe where they are, where their kids are, and where their grandkids are. They see how much they’ve lost in the 19 years of Obama/Biden.
Trump was a break in the action in 2016. He put a temporary stop to the Obama trend of taking away what Americans were working towards. Outside of the tech sector, not enough lives got easier. It took more work for less inflation-adjusted pay.
Iowans voted for what they consider the heart and soul of being an American to be: working toward the American dream. Owning your house, raising a family in it, and improving your situation. Sending your kids to school and not having to worry about what they’re being taught.
The government should not be in your way, taking what you earn and giving it to others, and taking more in taxes. Just follow the money and the exodus from broken blue blob city-states.
Now that Vivek Ramaswamy has dropped out, you can put those votes in camp Trump, and he can build on his big-time win in Iowa yesterday. With DeSantis coming in second, his voters will most likely go to Trump, not Haley. Family-first voters are tired of the business-as-usual GOP that Haley represents. No more wars sending our blood and treasure to the desert when we can’t control our own porous border.
That’s what Trump reminds voters about. This isn’t about geopolitics. It’s about cleaning up the mess.
