Thoughts on Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Service

Charlie Kirk made it his mission to speak to the next generation of conservatives, the silent majority (not for long) on campuses, who, after his death, are not going to go away quietly.

In response to Kirk’s tragic murder, as usual, progressives are coming for your guns. As I’ve written before, if guns were the problem, they’d know it. Guns are not the problem. What is the problem is greed and envy. They want what you have, my successful Americans to whom I write.

They lived their lives as they chose to. You made sacrifices. You saved ’til it hurt. You ran your business, had a career, and raised a family. You taught them right from wrong, not some ridiculous government head. The American dream is alive and well, but it needs to be protected by not giving an inch to the crazy left.

Kirk’s Turning Point has a six-part mission, in which it strives to:

  • Educate: Educate students about the importance of freedom, free markets, and limited government. With innovative marketing techniques and strategic outreach methods, TPUSA has expanded our presence to include 3,500 high school and college campuses nationwide.
  • Identify: Identify student activists across the country who believe in limited government and individual liberty.
  • Empower: Empower young activists to get involved in the fight for free markets and limited government. Through building strong campus networks, organizing conferences, and equipping activists with the knowledge and strategies needed to combat the left, TPUSA empowers young people to make a difference within their community.
  • Organize: Organize young activists in chapters and networks across the country. TPUSA believes there is strength in organization, and our activists work tirelessly to build grassroots networks on every high school and college campus in America.
  • Mobilize: Mobilize students who believe in free markets. TPUSA mobilizes its networks to get involved in activism, issue advocacy, public policy education, and grassroots organization.
  • Register: Register students to vote. TPUSA has helped thousands of college students apply for voter registration and access absentee ballots.

Action Line: Teaching young Americans about limited government and individual liberty is a noble goal, and remembering Kirk for his efforts and carrying those efforts onward is important for the future of the country. The memorial service held in his honor, bringing together America’s leaders, is a testament to Kirk’s hard work and America’s appetite for freedom. RIP Charlie Kirk.
