HR 127: Democrats Gearing Up for Gun Crackdown

You knew it was coming. It was only a matter of time. Democrats told you on the campaign trail they’re coming for your guns. Joe Biden jumped right in. You know they’re not taking my guns. And all the new firearms owners who bought guns in record numbers in 2020 aren’t giving up theirs either.

But the elitists in power in Washington, D.C., who hide behind 25,000 armed soldiers, fences, a Capitol Police force, and the Secret Service, don’t want you to protect yourself. They want you disarmed.

Sheila Jackson-Lee, a Democratic congresswoman from Houston has reintroduced her gun control bill to the new Democratically controlled legislature. The bill, HR 127 is what the Firearms Policy Coalition calls the “gunpocalypse.” Here’s their summary of the bill:

HR 127 is one of the most sweeping attacks on your Second Amendment rights ever proposed. It would:

• Establish a publicly-searchable gun registry containing your most private information
• Require you to petition an anti-gun Attorney General for a “license” to possess firearms & ammunition
• Further force you to obtain “firearms insurance” from the federal government at a cost of $800 PER YEAR
• Ban numerous rifles, AR pistols, shotguns, .50 (or greater) ammo, and any magazine with a capacity of over 10 rounds
• Slap gun owners with mandatory minimum prison sentences and fines for so-called ‘violations’ of this proposed legislation

If that draconian list of crackdowns on gun owners scares you, good. It should. Democrats aren’t looking for ways to preserve the Second Amendment while making people safer. They’re simply looking to take your guns away, and end the Second Amendment.

Beto O’Rourke’s campaign trail attack on gun owners was the tip of the spear for Democrats. “Hell, yes,” he said, “We’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.” And that’s just the beginning according to Sheila Jackson Lee’s HR 127.

One Coloradan stood up against O’Rourke and is now serving in Congress on a wave of pro-Second Amendment support. Her name is Rep. Lauren Boebert. Here’s a video of where she bravely stood up to O’Rourke’s authoritarianism.

Now Boebert is fighting for your rights in Congress. She has vowed to carry her firearm for protection in Congress, and she isn’t backing down.

Boebert and other freedom-loving representatives will fight against Sheila Jackson Lee, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the entire Democratic Party that is looking to take your guns from you. They need your support.

Action Line: There is a lot you can do to fight for your Second Amendment rights. Attend rallies, write to legislators, join the NRA or another gun rights organization fighting for you, but most important, get your guns and your training now.
