What’s funny is that, in my conversations with investors—not you, of course—they often tell me, “I want preservation of principal and growth.”
Look, I get it. At the root of that impossible task is a simple request: “You figure out how to make me money.”
We all think we’re contrarians, don’t we? Yet when bond prices decline and yields jump, I wonder where all the investors went.
Investors tell me, “I don’t like bonds,” or “I’ve never understood them.”
Now that yields have reached levels not seen in years, I’m telling investors why I like bonds.
