NASCAR owner Richard Childress has offered to donate one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine. Childress is on the board of Ammo Inc., and plans to get the ammo, mostly consisting of the 7.62mm rounds used in Kalashnikov AK-47 rifles, to Ukraine as quickly as possible. BlazeTV reports:
Legendary NASCAR driver and owner Richard Childress said on Fox & Friends Wednesday that he plans to donate one million rounds of ammunition to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia.
“I was listening the other day and heard President Zelenskyy say he didn’t want out, he wanted ammunition,” Childress told host Brian Kilmeade.
Childress was referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s response to the U.S. government’s offer to evacuate him to safety.
“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” Zelenskyy said, according to reports.
Childress added, “I called my good friend Fred Wagenhals (the Chairman of AMMO, Inc.) … and I said, ‘Fred, we gotta help these people. They need ammunition.’ And he stepped right up, he said, ‘We’ll do it,’ and now we’re turning our production to this as our number one priority.”

Childress, a member of Ammo, Inc.’s board of directors, briefly explained how the organization is attempting to deliver the ammunition to Ukraine.“We’re working with some government agencies, but to get it there quickly, we’re going to work through a private company that will be working to get it in there,” he said. “The number one ammo they’re needing right now over there is the 7.62s, and that’s what we’re going to be producing.”
Action Line: If there’s one thing the war in Ukraine has proven, it’s that you should get your gun and your training now. If every Ukrainian had had a gun and ammo at home, and the training to use them, they wouldn’t be relying on charity from abroad to protect their country right now.
