Are You Ready for the Storm?

Winter weather is finally upon most of the country, with a big freeze and potential snow targeting most of America through the week. Are you prepared for what’s to come? There are a lot of aspects of preparation for winter weather.

The first and foremost is warmth. Is your heating system ready? Has it been serviced or cleaned? Do you have enough fuel or firewood to keep it going?

How about power? Winter storms can wreak havoc on power lines. Coupling sub-freezing temperatures with no power can lead to problems very quickly.

What’s your vehicle prep look like? Do you have studded tires? Chains? Sand and a shovel in the trunk? Some food and blankets in the car in case you’re stuck in a blizzard?
