New Iran Worries Raise Oil Prices as Fed Deliberates

By Rayhan @ Adobe Stock

As the Federal Open Market Committee prepares to announce its decision on whether it will raise, hold, or lower interest rates, oil prices are rising once again on uncertainty about the war with Iran.

Early trading in New York has WTI Crude oil priced at $84.49/barrel after closing at $80.90/ barrel the night before.

Continued oil price fluctuations will make decisions about interest rates more difficult as Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh looks to slay inflation.
