Big night last night for Virginia and America as Governor-Elect Glenn Youngkin came out of nowhere to shock the world and win. He’s the first Republican to win a statewide election in big blue Virginia in a decade. This is big. Let’s go.
This is big because it’s a huge moment for the states’ rights movement, as voters wake up this morning to a brand-new day in America. It’s a new day because, where masses have exited big blue cities to find a better life for their families, they realized a Conservative movement, one that rural dwellers knew was right from the beginning. This is a wake-up call to Republicans as much as it is to Democrats. The wave that’s crashing over the country today is a huge win for the American Family.
What makes this a special time to be a Conservative in America is there will always be a former, and perhaps future, President Trump, who will keep Republican politicians in check. Trump is more than just a name. No longer will a Republican be able to win an election and then forget the people who voted. The pressure will always be on because Trump stood up for an idea that never gets old, and it’s that: We the People control America.
Action Line: Ask any coach or business leader what makes a team or company great, and you’ll hear one word: competition. That’s because competition creates fear and the real possibility of losing your position to the next man up. Thankfully that fear is alive and well, and Virginians saw that the leader who will make their state more competitive is Glenn Youngkin. Let’s keep the pressure on.
P.S. Also deserving your attention are the ridiculous rules surrounding, early, and mail-in voting. Look at this race, and the momentum Youngkin carried in just the last few weeks. Everyone who voted three weeks ago probably had some thoughts about how they voted. Some would absolutely have changed their vote, especially when education became a hot topic. No good. It’s like skipping the fourth quarter of a game. It needs to change.
