If you want to know who voted Donald Trump into office, then read J.D. Vance’s memoir Hillbilly Elegy. It’s a book about the “real people” of this country whom I refer to as Trump’s Great White Wall. No other group has sacrificed more in blood and treasure for their country and yet no other group feels more alienated. For them, their country road has disappeared.

The Newport office is on a quiet, tree lined street not far from the harbor and the log cabin in Bartlett, NH, the “Live Free or Die” state, sits on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest.
