Big day for Glenn Youngkin and America as Virginians head to the polls to vote for a conservative, family first governor. Voters have had it with a President who’s M.I.A. and asleep at the wheel, governing with a mandate that was never given to him. At the highest levels of government, leadership has forgotten they work for you, not for the financial gains of their own family. They have forgotten why they are in office. They are not there to serve at the expense of others.
You and I know there are forces working against us that we can’t see. We know it because when we hear what kids are being taught at school, we’re alarmed, but not surprised. We’re not surprised because we know leadership is rotten to the core. They’re gutting our police, fire, and schools of the talent we know we can’t do without. And they fire them for a stupid mandate they have no right to dictate.
Conservative Americans understand life is tough. Individual strength and success is not a gift you get to open without personal sacrifice. If we didn’t have to work for a living, we would just stay home and teach our kids ourselves. But that’s not how life works. And yet, the other side doesn’t want you in the picture. Really?
Conservative Americans understand that when our kids compete in a sport, we don’t change the goalposts mid-game to make it easier. Government, especially at the top, changes the rules mid-game against investors all the time. It’s basically a rule of thumb.
You don’t tell your kid or grandkid practicing for a piano recital to just skip a part because it’s too hard. As leaders of our families, we know life isn’t supposed to be easy. We understand the idea of our country is equal opportunity, not equal outcome.
Action Line: Youngkin is on center stage for the performance of his lifetime. Americans are watching. Conservatives are awake.
