In summer 2020, city dwellers were pinched by COVID lockdowns on one side and the rampant violence and crime unleashed by the rhetoric of Democratic politicians on the other. That combination led them to flee their cities in droves. The cities with the largest losses of residents were San Francisco and Manhattan. CNS News’s Terence P. Jeffrey reports: New York County, which is the borough of Manhattan, and San Francisco County, which is the City of San Francisco, led the nation with the highest percentages of population decline from April 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021, according to data published … [Read more...]
Looking for a Better America
After decades of urbanization, Americans are rebelling against the “bigger is better” mentality of city-living. Seeking a smaller, more affordable, sustainable, and secure lifestyle, some are venturing out from the mega-cities in search of a different life.
A number of techniques have become popular in an effort to save, especially scaling down the size of one’s home. Living small and saving big is even better when it’s coupled with living in a state that treats you more like a human than an ATM it can withdraw money from.
Look for a better America today. Start by reading what I have written to help you below:
NY Desperately Backpedals on Bail Reform
The sad impact of progressives' efforts to eliminate bail and jail time for criminals was almost immediate. The "no bail, no jail" attitude of the liberal left running America's big cities put criminals right back on the street with no collateral standing between them and repeated offenses. Americans are sick of it. And now, sensing that they have gone too far, the left is desperately trying to backpedal. New York Governor Kathy Hochul is pushing a sleight of reversals to the progressive pro-crime agenda. No doubt she's hoping a u-turn on crime will give voters time to forget her party's … [Read more...]
NYC Parents BLAST Celebrity Focused Mayor Eric Adams
Even before his first day in office, Mayor Eric Adams has been known to prefer the company of the city's celebrities, spending time at famous night clubs. Shortly after his election, Vanity Fair wrote that the mayor "parties with CEOs and rappers—and insists that nightlife will be part of his day job." Given his preference for celebrity friends, is it any wonder Adams is focused more on appeasing celebrity ball players than on removing masks from toddlers? After criticism from NBA and MLB began stacking up, Adams responded saying he'd find a solution. But what about parents of young … [Read more...]
WATCH: DeSantis Tells Students COVID Mask Theater is Ridiculous
During a conference on workforce education focusing on cybersecurity at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Governor Ron DeSantis told a group of masked students assembled for his speech that they could take the masks off. He told the students of the masks "they're not doing anything," "please take them off," and "we gotta stop with this COVID theater." DeSantis did tell the students they could wear the masks if they chose to. Action Line: Governor DeSantis has been a symbol of good leadership in the Free State of Florida. Florida is one of my top Super States, and one of the key … [Read more...]
While Biden Bungles Tax Policy, Super States Take the Lead
The tax reform signed in 2017 by President Trump led America to a pre-COVID economic boom that proved just how strong the policies of freedom are. Now, as the world says good riddance to COVID, Biden wants to reverse Trump-era tax policies and bring the country back to the bad old days. Thankfully, America's state governments, where they are run by pro-freedom politicians, are taking the lead on tax policy to benefit their residents. Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, writes in The Wall Street Journal: Congressional Democrats are debating which taxes to increase, while … [Read more...]
PREDICTABLE: Leftists Respond to Peaceful Trucker Protest with Calls for Violence
Civil disobedience has often been used by leftist activists as a form of protest. Who doesn't remember 2020 when highway blockages were a regular part of the BLM/Antifa toolkit for protesting. Now that conservative activists in Canada have employed similar tactics, leftists have taken up a familiar call anytime their policies are questioned, violence against the protesters. ZeroHedge reports: Harvard professor, CNN analyst and former Obama admin undersecretary of Homeland Security Juliette Kayyem has called for violence and vandalism against Freedom Convoy protesters who have amassed on the … [Read more...]
When Do the Kids Get to Learn Math and Science in School?
There are only so many moments in a day, and if every one of them becomes a "teachable moment" about the values of diversity and equity, how many moments are left for kids to learn math, science, English, and history? Parents have slowly come to the realization that their children are being taught a lot more than "readin', writin', and 'rithmatic,' in school these days, that is, when they're not simply trying to breathe through their mandated suffocation devices. You may have heard that private schools stayed open through COVID. But there isn’t a more woke establishment in education than … [Read more...]
MY SCOTTSDALE STORY: AZ Proves the Value of Freedom
Look, not too long ago, Your Survival Guy spent a long weekend at the Scottsdale, AZ Four Seasons and loved it. I can see why wealthy Americans are flocking there. If you like golf and beautiful weather you’re good to go. Check out this article below. When you go through the reasons Paradise Valley, AZ (between Phoenix and Scottsdale) is surging with new residents from other states, one trend stands out to me—more freedom, fewer lockdown restrictions. This is a trend that’s not going away as we begin to realize that COVID is yet another way to suppress your freedom. Make sure you have your … [Read more...]
Is This the End for Mask Mandates?
A number of blue blob states are signaling that an end to their mask mandates may be coming soon. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is reported to be preparing an end to school mask mandates in the second week of March. Fox 5 reports: The change will take effect the second week of March as temperatures get milder and ventilation becomes possible, Murphy told the paper. The Democratic governors in New York and Connecticut have foreshadowed in recent days that they may lift school mask mandates, too. Individual districts could still require masks if mandates get lifted. New Jersey has … [Read more...]
RON PERLMAN: It’s Time for Red and Blue States to Separate
In a garbled tweet, Hollywood actor and leftist, Ron Perlman, has suggested that America's red states and blue states should separate from one another. That's fine with Your Survival Guy. The Blaze's Samuel Mangold-Lenett reports: Ron Perlman, the Hollywood movie star known for playing tough-talking, cigar-chomping loudmouths, recently endorsed the concept of a national divorce via social media. “You don’t wanna live in my world and I certainly don’t want to live in yours,” Perlman wrote. It’s time that every state they would elect republicans to represent them, and all of the rest of … [Read more...]
