The industrial roots of the northeast and midwest made those regions obvious locations for American firearms manufacturers to grow. But as the politics in states like New York, Illinois, and Connecticut, traditional homes of many gun makers, turned anti-gun, firearms manufacturers are looking for a better America. The Washington Examiner's Paul Bedard details the moves by seventeen manufacturers to friendlier territory, writing: Alabama Remington Outdoor Company moved much of its production from New York to Huntsville. Kimber expanded production to Troy, New York, over Yonkers. It … [Read more...]
Looking for a Better America
After decades of urbanization, Americans are rebelling against the “bigger is better” mentality of city-living. Seeking a smaller, more affordable, sustainable, and secure lifestyle, some are venturing out from the mega-cities in search of a different life.
A number of techniques have become popular in an effort to save, especially scaling down the size of one’s home. Living small and saving big is even better when it’s coupled with living in a state that treats you more like a human than an ATM it can withdraw money from.
Look for a better America today. Start by reading what I have written to help you below:
January RAGE Gauge: Free Money for All, and to All a Good Night
Let the parties continue, because the punch bowl is still flowing. Yesterday, when the Fed announced a tighter monetary policy—an end to bond purchases and three rate increases—markets cheered. Because halting asset purchases and raising rates a whopping three times is like moving a few ornaments on your Christmas tree. It’s all for show. And just like the “Jingle Bells” refrain, the Fed’s just another reindeer pulling Biden’s sleigh. It’s free money for all, and to all, a good night. What could possibly go wrong? For serious Americans like you—the savers, entrepreneurs, small business … [Read more...]
States Re-Masking After Firing Hospital Employees Stresses Capacity
After hospital systems and blue state governments forced hospital workers who refused to get COVID vaccines out of their jobs, hospitals are having a hard time keeping up with the number of patients coming in, and capacity is strained. Is it any wonder? New York and California have reinstituted mask requirements, and now Rhode Island, the state with the current highest growth rate in cases per capita, is following suit. Governor Dan McKee has instituted a new mask requirement on many businesses. The Providence Journal reports: Rhode Island has reported an average of 1,090 new cases a day over … [Read more...]
CODDLING CRIMINALS: Seattle City Council Wants to Protect Perps from New City Attorney
Never before has the Seattle City Council interfered in the cases brought against criminals by the city's attorney, but now, after residents elect a Republican with a tough-on-crime message, the radical progressive council wants to tie her hands behind her back, and prevent her from doing the job she was elected to do. The Post Millennial reports: Seattle residents were elated when Republican Ann Davison was willfully elected in November to serve as the next City Attorney. Davison ran on the promise to clean-up the city by prosecuting criminals, something Pete Holmes, the current progressive … [Read more...]
DIRTY DOZEN: 12 Democrat-Led Cities Break Homicide Records
The year isn't even over and already twelve large Democrat-run cities have broken records for the most homicides in a year. Joe Biden believes it's because of the virus. Wrong. It's weak policy from the top. Here are the Dirty Dozen cities that have suffered from rampant murder unleashed by politicians turning a blind-eye to crime in their cities. City Mayor Party Murders Albuquerque Tim Keller Democrat 82 Austin Steve Adler Democrat 60 Baton Rouge Sharon Weston Broome Democrat 137 Columbus Andrew Ginther Democrat 179 Indianapolis Joe … [Read more...]
COAL FOR CHRISTMAS: DeBlasio Punishes NYC Private Businesses
Merry Christmas? New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio getting away with a vax mandate on private businesses speaks volumes about those pulling the strings. The mandate goes into effect on December 27, so while haggard New York City business owners should be enjoying time with family, they’ll be worrying about forcing these new rules on their employees. And it’s not just NYC. It’s in every big blue blob city where elites from the left make the rules to push along their GREAT RESET. It’s foreshadowing what’s to come. The media’s in the bag, the virus is sticking around, and politicians do what … [Read more...]
The Least Affordable Housing Market in the U.S.
When Boise, Idaho leads the list as “The Least Affordable Housing Market in the U.S.,” something’s not quite right. Don’t get me wrong—Boise has access to it all. But least affordable in the U.S.? Hear that sucking sound? It’s Boise, and places like it, pulling all the monied “residents” from San Fran, Portland, Seattle, and Rte. 128 (outside of Boston) into the community. They’re looking to places of freedom like New Hampshire, Texas, and Florida, to name a few. They’re looking for a big backyard and a playground for the weekend or for six months and a day. But what is affordable? I … [Read more...]
PERSECUTING THE POOR: De Blasio Wants Vaccine Mandates for Using the Subway
There is no greater lifeline for New York City's poor citizens than the subway system. For a very small fee, New Yorkers without means can quickly and easily travel to their jobs, schools, or homes. Now, Mayor Bill De Blasio, unhappy with citizens who haven't received a COVID-19 vaccine yet, wants to take that away from them. The lame-duck mayor has proposed that people only be allowed to board the subway, and other Metro Transit Authority vehicles, with a vaccine passport. Summit News reports: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio appears to have called for a vaccine mandate on the subway, … [Read more...]
STREETS OF RAGE: Old Man Nearly Killed in Boston Dirt Bike Gang Attack
You know the big blue blob cities have been getting more dangerous, as "woke" mayors and DAs eliminate cash bail and go soft-on-crime. The allowance of small crimes like shoplifting has led criminals to become even more brazen. Big city mayors have forgotten the "broken windows theory," that pulled them out of chaos in the 80s and 90s. Now they are relearning those hard lessons. In Boston recently, an 82-year-old man was attacked while driving through the city by a mob of 40 people on dirt bikes and scooters. CBS Boston reports: An 82-year-old man was surrounded and assaulted by a group of … [Read more...]
SMASH AND GRAB: Video Shows Mass Theft in San Francisco. Goodbye California!
The Golden State has been far gone for some time, but who doesn't want to say "Goodbye California," now? San Francisco has fallen victim to its own decadence. The city's "woke" culture, fueled and stoked by the wave of wealthy Millennial tech workers, has become a danger to the city itself. San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin, a radical leftist who refuses to prosecute shoplifters in most cases, has made it clear that he's not interested in pursuing small crimes. That's a direct contradiction to the successful "Broken Windows Theory" that focuses on stopping even small crimes in order to prevent … [Read more...]
